VERY VERY SAD NEWS ABOUT MELODY AND ASHLEY JORDAN

We are incredibly sad to report the loss of 2 extremely sweet girls in the last week, Melody and Ashley Jordan. As you can imagine, the foster families and volunteers are devastated. There is no doubt that both of them were adored by their foster families.

Melody crossed over to the "Rainbow Bridge" last week due to complications from ingesting clothing (unknown to her foster family). Melody underwent emergency surgery, but sadly the damage was too great. We cannot thank Kristen enough for taking her in and showing her how to give and receive love. A special thanks to Dr. Gullett as well for trying so hard to help this precious girl.

As some of you may know, Ashley Jordan fought very hard, but was ultimately suffering from kidney failure. Ashley was hospitalized on Saturday until Monday. Despite receiving significant IV fluids and other medications, her kidneys could not bounce back. Her foster family loved her dearly and were fortunate to have her in their lives (even if it were just a short while). We also wanted to thank Dr. Gaines and Dr. Taylor for all the care they gave her during her last days.

If you would like to make a donation in either of their names, we will apply any amount to their outstanding medical bills. We want to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
