We just wanted to share the terrific news that Archie and Charlie were adopted together today to a wonderful couple in Memphis! YEAH!!! Layla is supposed to go to a rescue group up north real soon too (fingers crossed)! That leaves Peyton and Gracie still available for adoption! All of these adorable pups are super friendly and love attention! Please give them another look so we can have happy endings for all of them!

URGENT SITUATION
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! THE SHELTER IS SET TO CLOSE ON APRIL 28th (THIS SATURDAY). We so desperately need foster homes for the following categories: VERY SHORT TERM- dogs that are going to rescue groups up north within the next 2 weeks; HEARTWORM TREATED DOGS- dogs that are currently undergoing heartworm treatment (either are at the vet right now or will be going before the end of the week) and require strict rest (leash walks only) for the next 4-6 weeks (some less time, some a little more- depends on when the treatment was started); REGULAR FOSTERS- dogs that have not yet been spoken for and need a little more time to find permanent homes (time period unknown, but rest assured, we will be doing everything we can to find homes).
WE APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE DURING THIS TIME AND SINCERELY APPRECIATE EVERYONE' S PATIENCE IN THIS MATTER. WE ARE VOLUNTEERS AND WE ARE TRYING SO HARD TO HELP THESE INNOCENT DOGS, SO PLEASE BEAR WITH US IF YOU ARE WAITING ON A RESPONSE (Call Joan at 870-739-1145). If you are unable to foster or adopt, please sponsor a particular dog to improve his/her chances of being rescued (we are trying to board as many as possible if they do not have homes by this weekend). THANKS SO MUCH!

GREAT NEWS: HOPE HAS A FOSTER
Thankfully, a wonderful couple in Memphis offered to foster Hope. They had a similar experience with their Aussie and has recovered beautifully. Hope has a long road to recover, but at least she can now receive the love and attention she needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH ANDY AND KELLY!
PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING HOPE'S SIBLINGS! WE URGENTLY NEED TO SPLIT THEM UP!

ANOTHER PAIR: JUSTINE AND TOBY
Just look at these adorable faces! Justine is just a young pup (maybe 5 months) and super friendly. Look closely at her eyes- beautiful huh! Toby is also very loving and affectionate. He appears to be a standard Daschund/mix???? and is approximately 10-12 months old. They were apparently abandoned in their backyard and brought in together today. No problem- surely someone will want them!
MEET MYLES AND DEUCE McCALLISTER
Here are 2 more arrivals to the shelter. On the top is Myles, an adorable medium- sized dog (possibly an Otterhound mix?). He was dumped at the shelter along with his buddy (who ran away- they're still trying to trap him/her). On the bottom is Deuce McCallister, who was surrendered by his owner (possibly the son of either Bully or Hoss). Please help theses boys find forever homes!

UPDATE ON HOPE'S DOCTOR VISIT
HOPE is in a desperate situation. She went to the vet today and has received some bad news. She was apparently run over by a car and has basically fractured her pelvis in several places. Hope did not break her legs (thankfully), but her right hind leg has suffered some muscle and nerve damage. The vet said that her pelvis may heal with 5-6 weeks of cage rest (i.e., only let her out for potty breaks and of course some lovin'). She will then have to be re-evaluated. Hope is able to walk, but her back leg is very stiff. She can use the restroom on her own, but may need some assistance with hygiene at times (frankly, because she has difficulty squatting properly) and may occasionally get constipated. We need a FOSTER HOME IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, she is at serious risk of having to be put to sleep. The shelter does not have the funds to treat her properly, so it is up to you (or anyone you know) to sponsor her. Without sponsorship money and a foster home, she does not have a very good chance. PLEASE help her- she has managed so far (the injury apparently is not very new) and really needs a doggy angel. WILL YOU BE HER DOGGY ANGEL? IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS NEEDED.

MEET THE OTHER HALF OF THE 6-PACK!
Hi everyone- we're the newbies! We are the other half of the 6-Pack of young pups. On the far left is Layla; middle is Hope; right is Gracie. One thing we have in common is our gorgeous eyes! We are desperate to find a home (especially Hope who was hit by a car and has a very injured back leg). Can you help us?

MEET ETHAN AND ELI
Are these not the cutest puppies! They are approximately 4 months old and wanting so badly to play! Ethan has the white face and Eli has the black face. We can't stress enough how important it is to get these babies out! Can you help us? Thank you to Megan and Chloee for helping us take pictures during this hectic time!
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL NEW DOGS
Be sure to scroll down as we have had so many new arrivals! PLEASE FOSTER PEOPLE-come forward! WE NEED YOU! Although we can't give you an exact date yet (we apologize), we really need to know who is interested so we can start making arrangements. We do know that it will be sometime this month (hopefully toward the end of April if all goes well). If we know which dog may be able to go to foster care or rescue, we can better concentrate on those that have not been "spoken for". Thank you so much for trying to help these precious dogs! Check back frequently for more updates!

GOOD NEWS- HENRY WENT HOME
Henry's owner finally found him! Apparently the owner's sister was supposed to be looking after him while she was out of town when he escaped. Please remember to always check up on your pets, no matter who is watching them! We're happy he's home!
