"In a couple weeks I will be traveling from Ripon to Marion, Arkansas, a small town just west of Memphis. I’m going to visit the Marion Animal Shelter and meet their dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find homes for every dog that comes into their care...I am seeking donations of towels, blankets, crates, and good quality rubber dog toys to take to the shelter. Donations of money would also be welcome to pay for vetting expenses."
So...on Saturday these angels drove in. As you can see from the pictures, they brought much needed supplies (tons of blankets and towels, an extra large crate, toys, etc.) as well as an envelope full of cash and checks to help pay some of the vet bills (very very generous). Beth and Diane know what an uphill battle we have here. They are aware of our enormous outstanding vet bills and they took action. We are incredibly grateful for their kindess and generosity. We had alot of fun with them and of course we had to send them to Graceland! What amazing women- truly.After speaking with Beth and Diane, we found out that there were all kinds of "Doggy Angels" behind the scenes. We would like to thank each and every one of them for caring enough to help pups so far away. These Doggy Angels include: Barbara, Jan, Bob, Gail, Marty & Connie, Marlene, Michele, Bernice, Diane & Phil, JoAnn, Linda, Kathy N., Evie, Kathy S., Jim & Deb, Kathy F., Donna, Joyce, Rick & Julie, Keith & Julie, Jean, Yvonne, Karen, Lynn, Marty, and Mark. Thanks again Beth and Diane- you are the best. We hope you visit again soon! The world is a better place with people like these.
