GREAT NEWS: LONNIE HAS FOUND A HOME

Lonnie has found a new home- HOORAY! Can you tell which one he is??? They look like siblings don't they! (Lonnie is on the right). Anyway, Lonnie's new name is Beau and he is obviously a very happy boy (he now has a girlfriend, Bella!).

MEET NEWBIE SHELLY

You have to admit I'm pretty darn cute! My name is Shelly and I'm about 4 months old. I came in with another pup, but she was lucky and was taken to a foster home. I adore attention from people and I don't mind cats at all. Can you take me with you?

HALLELUJAH- WE HAVE AIR

THE AIR IS WORKING NOW! YEAHHHH!!!! All of the dogs are incredibly happy (not a peep out of them once it started working). Thanks again to those who have helped make this miracle happen!

YEAH! WE'RE GOING TO RESCUE!

Dexter (black lab/border collie mix), Phoebe (lab/coonhound mix), and Alyssa (rottie mix) are going to their forever homes this week! We are so happy that they will be so loved and cherished! We'll post pictures again as we receive them! We can't stress enough how important it is to have foster homes so these guys can get out!

CREWS ARE HARD AT WORK

We apologize for the delay in posts (no internet service in the last week). Just wanted to update everyone: Thanks to PARAGON, INC., of Marion, an air conditioner has been donated along with the labor for installation. The duct work is being completed by Standard Sheet Metal of West Memphis. Crews have worked daily on a volunteer basis and we can't express how much we appreciate it. THANK YOU TO ALL THE FOSTER FAMILIES who have taken dogs into their homes during this time. As a small shelter, we are still in need of foster families. This helps tremendously because it makes the dogs more "desirable" and "adoptable" when we can provide more information about their personalities, etc. Please bear with us during this time as we work to update everyone on the current situation as well as post new arrivals. Call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848 if you can help in any way. Please be patient as we are just volunteers. Again, foster families and adopters need to have a fenced in yard in most cases in order to be considered, so please keep that in mind.

URGENT: SHELTER DOES NOT HAVE A/C

WE NEED HELP WE ARE SEEKING FOSTER HOMES (TEMPORARILY) FOR OUR DOGS. The shelter is not equipped with air conditioning. However, we have air conditioners donated, but it will take a little while to have the work completed (electrical, duct work, etc.). The temperature inside the building is well over 90 degrees (if not more) and outside is even worse as you may know. This is a very DANGEROUS SITUATION. PLEASE consider fostering a dog until the A/C can be completed. All you need is a fenced yard and an indoor place to keep them safe (we will provide food if needed). Call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848 if you can help. THANKS!

MEET BROTHER CLYDE

My name is Clyde and I'm Chelsea's brother (I'm sure you figured that out already). I am greatly in need of a home (we both are) so can you work your magic? We deserve a real life! We are kind and gentle and full of love too!

MEET SISTER CHELSEA

My name is Chelsea! I came in with my brother, Clyde. We are both so ready to be adopted. Could you help us please??? Neither of us is that big (actually we're kind short and stocky), so we won't take up too much room!

MEET NEWBIE WOODY

Woody is such a unique looking dog don't you think! If you look closely at his face, he looks like he could be a person (really you should look). He is some type of terrier (just not sure which). He has a wirey type of coat. All we can say is you really have to see him in person, he's truly adorable. His pictures don't do him justice at all. He has a great personality too (very playful and loving)!

UPDATE ON SWEET PRECIOUS

Can you believe how far Precious has come in just about one month! Good food and medical treatment does it every time! The picture in the crate and standing (missing hair) were taken early in July. Precious is such a sweet girl and desperately needs a foster home. She tested positive for heartworms and needs to be treated (sponsors would be wonderful). This poor baby has been through so much already. She needs to know that people really are good!
