MEET NEWBIE BRITTNEY

Another sad soul...This is Brittney. Poor baby may have been in a fight with another dog or something. She appears to have a puncture wound on her leg as well as cuts on her face. To make things worse, Brittney may have a cataract, making it difficult for her to see adequately. She is really scared at the shelter and needs a doggy angel to save her (at least foster her). If you know who she belongs to, please contact Joan at 870-739-1145.

UPDATED PICS: ELLEN

Sad, but not surprising news...Ellen has tested positive for heartworms. She desperately needs a foster home (and some sponsor funds) so that she can be treated and find her forever home. Just look at her precious face! She deserves a real home, don't ya think???

HOME SWEET HOME: LANDRY'S HAPPY TAIL

We thought you might want to see some pictures of Landry in his new home. Remember folks...this is the dog that was found at a DUMP with his face and body all cut up! This is from Tabitha, Landry's new mommy:

"WE LOVE LANDRY!!! I think I'll have t-shirts made (lol... just kidding). He is such a sweet boy! He has fit right in with our family perfectly. He loves the girls and is very gentle with them. Our younger daughter is obsessed with him...and I do mean obsessed. He is doing awesome, he has never seemed nervous or scared. I can't say enough how happy we are to have him. Thank you!!"

We couldn't have hoped for a better ending for sweet Landry. Thanks so much Janet for making this happen and Cissy for taking care of him while we found him a permanent home!

MILLIE IS FINALLY "HOME"

Millie has finally found her forever home thanks to Debbie and Richard in Connecticut! She has been very dear to her foster parents (she had been with them for 6 months!) and they are elated that she found such a wonderful home. Her new mom says:

"Millie is doing very well. She loves the back yard...She is such a good girl and such a companion. Everyone who has met her loves her and she loves everyone. She is just too perfect about everything. I keep wondering what she has for bad habits but I can't find any. She's wonderful".

Thank you Debbie and Richard for your patience and we are so glad that you love her so much. She's still getting used to the snow, but we're sure it won't take long. Another special thanks to Carrie (our other Rescue angel) for finding Millie a place to call home!

OH THANK GOODNESS FOR TRANSPORT!

Oh it's been a CRAZY week! Sorry for the delay in postings (volunteer out of town). Anyway, we had a GREAT week last week as all of the following cutie pies were loaded on the "transport" vehicle to find their way to their forever homes up North: All 5 Charmer Pups, Landry, Gracie, Danny, Millie, Timmy, Tommy, Tara, and Sophie! Anyway, news is they all made the trip just fine! Check back for pictures of some of these sweeties in their new homes!

STORMY HAS ARRIVED IN CONNECTICUT!

We are so excited about Stormy finding her way to her new forever home! Stormy left on transport Thursday (the pictures are very dark because it was around 6 pm) and arrived in Connecticut on Saturday! The bottom right pictures show her getting off the transport. As you can see, her new parents, Dan and Lindsay, are so happy! Thank you Sharon for helping with Stormy's rescue! A special thanks to Teresa, who fostered this precious girl for many many months until she found this wonderful home- you're the best!

SENIOR ELMO NEEDS A LOVING HOME ASAP!

This is Elmo! Sadly, Elmo lost his owner several months ago. The vet has found homes for most of his fur brothers and sisters (he lived with almost 30 cats and 6 dogs!). Unfortunately, Elmo is still homeless and is being boarded at the vet's office. He is estimated to be 13 years old! Please don't make this be his last stop! He's a bit camera shy, but is such a sweetheart! This is a courtesy posting for the vet's office that is caring for him. Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 for contact information for the vet in charge of his adoption.

BOB IS READY FOR HIS DOGGY ANGEL!

Oh boy...someone really needs to help this sweet boy. Bob is a Lab-mix (about 3 years old) who has suffered at the hands of his previous owner. Bob was injured very badly one day (he nearly cut his tail off completely and had a deep laceration/cut on his left thigh). Rather than taking Bob to the vet (as any responsible pet owner would do), Bob's previous owner decided to cut his tail off on his own and sew up his laceration with fishing line. Can you imagine what Bob had to go through... Anyway, thanks to Carolyn (Marion Animal Control Officer), Bob finally was able to receive the medical care he deserved. Carolyn took Bob to the vet's office, where he underwent surgery to fix both wounds. He was also neutered and received heartworm treatment (yes...another dog with heartworms). Anyway, Bob is now ready to find his forever home! He desperately needs to receive the love and affection of a real home (indoor homes only). Sponsorship funds would be wonderful too as Bob's vet bill is quite large.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RESCUE!

We wanted to thank Kim who drove all the way from St. Louis to rescue numerous pups as well as the momma dog and her 6 puppies shown in the crate below. Kim loaded up her vehicle with the 5 Terrier-mix pups as well (Georgia, Gertrude, Ginger, Ginny, and Gavin). She answered our plea for help! Kim and her doggy angel network will be caring for all of them until they find their forever homes (some already have!)- THANK YOU SO MUCH!

HOORAY FOR DELILAH: SHE'S ON HER WAY!

Thanks to Doggy Angels, Jeff and Linda, Delilah is now on her way to finding her forever home in Kansas City (thanks to another Doggy Angel, Elise). Jeff and Linda agreed to take Delilah and nuture her through her heartworm treatment. Thanks to them, she is doing fabulously! She gained 10 pounds and feels great! You can see that she enjoyed probably her first snow ever before leaving Arkansas! We know you will miss her and she will miss you as well. Jeff, Linda, and Elise we appreciate you more than you know! Last but not least, we want to thank Marie for her efforts in finding Jeff as well as Donna and Wayne for helping with transport- we couldn't have done this without them!

MEET ADORABLE FUZZBALL!

Meet sweet Fuzzball (yeap- that's his name). He was surrendered by his owner today because they are moving and unfortunately cannot take him with them. He is about a year and a half and is already neutered! Please help him get out of here- he is very confused.
