FOSTER HOMES- PLEASE STEP UP!

We can't express how important it is to find good quality foster homes for our dogs. We have so many dogs that won't make it out of the shelter if we don't find temporary foster homes for them. Several rescue groups up North are helping us look for forever homes for many of our dogs, so it's just a matter of time until suitable adopters are found. PLEASE open your heart and and your home to a dog in need. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE NOW CONSIDERED URGENT! We have absolutely NO ROOM left anywhere in our shelter (inside or outside). Most kennels have 2 dogs in them already. PLEASE CALL JOAN at 870-739-1145 OR ALLISON at 901-240-9848 if you can help ASAP! You have no idea how rewarding it can be unless you try it!

ANNUAL POKER RUN IS A SUCCESS

The annual POKER RUN was a huge success! The Marion Animal Shelter /P.A.W.S. would like to thank everyone for participating in this year's Poker Run. We appreciate the support from local businesses who donated items for the auction and door prizes as well as those who donated food/drinks. Our sincere appreciation goes out to Freedom Cycle for allowing us to hold the event at their location! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year! Adopt a shelter dog!

NEW PICS OF IRIS

Come on people- can someone please save Iris? She has been at the shelter since July and is nearly out of time. She is so gorgeous and sweet. She does need to undergo heartworm treatment after she is spayed, but we need someone to commit to fostering her before she can be treated. Please save her life!

OOPS- ERNEST IS A SHE: ERNESTINE ANYONE?

We made a mistake- Ernest is a female after all! We've renamed her Ernestine! She and her sister, Daphne, are about 8 months old (not 3-4 months as previously thought) and will likely remain small. They deserve a life don't you think!

MEET LOVELY DELILAH

This is Momma Delilah! She is just as adorable as her pups! Delilah does not appear very old herself (maybe 1 1/2-2 years old???). She has the cutest face and will certainly make a wonderful pet too! Please hurry because the shelter is full!

MEET GORGEOUS GABE

Isn't that the cutest face you've seen in a long while! Gabe is about 8 months (sibling to Amber and son of Delilah). These pictures don't do him justice. Please ask your friends too- all 3 of them need homes!

MEET SWEET AMBER

Amber was surrendered to the shelter along with her brother, Gabe, and her mother, Delilah. She is approximately 8 months old and super sweet. Check back later for more pictures (it was raining the day we took these, so they aren't the greatest pictures!).

GREAT NEWS: LADY AND TRIXIE ARE GOING TO RESCUE!

Thanks to Eric in New York, Lady and Trixie are finally on their way to a new and well deserving life up North! We'd also like to thank Sita who drove all the way from Fayetteville, Arkansas to help them on their way! Thank you all for saving their lives!

Remember Douglas? This guy deserves a chance! He is in a very temporary foster home and needs to find either another foster home or even better, a forever home. Douglas learned how to fetch a toy in just a few tries at his foster home. He is a very playful young man, but doesn't appear to be overwhelming. Please give him an indoor home with a fenced yard to run and play!
