MEET PRECIOUS NADINE

Oh it's so hard to pick- Nadine or Nathan??? You wouldn't go wrong with either of them! Please help them find their forever homes!

MEET PRECIOUS NATHAN

OH MY GOSH- Nathan is the biggest sweeheart. He is so soft and cuddly- not to mention extremely handsome!

UPDATED PICS: ROSIE

Isn't Rosie absolutely GORGEOUS! She has really come out of her shell in her foster home. Thanks so much to Laurie for keeping Rosie in a cozy home so long. She is a fantastic dog according to her foster mommy!

UPDATED PICS: DREW

Just look at Drew's precious eyes and tell me he belongs in a shelter! Remember you can click on each picture to enlarge. Come on.... He needs to be in a loving home where he can play ball (his favorite thing to do). He is getting ready to undergo heartworm treatment, so please consider fostering him.

UPDATED PICS: CHARLES

Here are some updated pictures of sweet Charles! He is eager to romp and play and to be a faithful companion! He is running out of time, so please consider him!

BIG THANKS TO AMY AND NIC

THANK YOU AMY AND NIC FOR ALL YOUR HELP WITH TAKING PICTURES OF THE NEWBIES! THEY DROVE FROM MISSISSIPPI JUST TO HELP THE MARION ANIMAL SHELTER AND WE APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH! THESE ADORABLE DOGS/PUPPIES WOULDN'T HAVE A CHANCE WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS LIKE YOU! Check back to see their updated pictures!

ANOTHER NEWBIE: MISS MUFFY

This is Miss Muffy! She is an owner surrender and frankly we have no idea why- she is a doll! She looks like an Aussie mix possibly (her tail is docked too) and is on the shorter side, but a little chunky (alot of it is hair she says!). She was fortunate to ride out the heat wave in a foster home, but they could only foster for a few weeks. Unfortunatey, she had to come back to the shelter. Please help her find her doggy angel!

MEET SHASTA AND STEVIE

Shasta and Stevie are another pair that need a miracle! Again folks, our shelter is beyond full right now and these poor babies are living outside too! They are missing hair and need to see a vet (could be really bad allergies, poor nutrition...who knows). If you cannot adopt or foster, please consider donating money for them! Remember, you can read more about them on the Marion Petfinder site!

MEET THE BLOODHOUND 5

These 5 siblings (3 girls and 2 boys) are absolutely precious in person! From top to bottom we have: Cooper, Catherine, Christie, Cassidy, and Chester. They are between 3 and 4 months old and likely weigh 25-30 pounds! They are very shy initially as you can tell from these photos! Come check them out ASAP!

MEET SAMMIE AND SAMSON

SOOOO ADORABLE! These 2 puppies need a miracle! They are siblings and they need medication for skin issues caused by microscopic mites. Sammie is the white pup and Samson is the black pup. Read their descriptions on Petfinder for more information (Marion Animal Shelter link is under the links section on the right side of the blog-scroll all the way down).

PLEASE CHECK BACK

Please check back soon for more pictures of NUMEROUS NEW ARRIVALS. Our volunteer photographer has been out of town for over a week and wouldn't you know it we literally had over 15 new dogs come in! Needless to say, she is trying very hard to update some pictures and post the new arrivals. We have so many adorable puppies (Hound mixes, Border Collie mixes, etc) of all ages so feel free to come by the shelter to have a look in the meantime. Thank you for your patience and support. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING so the pups don't have to live outside!

Please Consider Saving One Of Our Longterm Residents

We consider ourselves to be a low-kill shelter. Our goal is to give every dog in our care a chance at a loving home. Not all dogs are small, cute, fluffy puppies - but every homeless shelter dog deserves a chance. Please consider adopting one of our longer term residents. They will be loyal companions who will repay your kindness 100 times over.

Below are some of our dogs that have been sitting in the shelter, waiting for a kind-hearted soul to rescue them and show them that goodness does exist. They have been overlooked - not because they are "bad" dogs - but because they may be a little larger, a little older, dark in color, not purebred, or just not puppies...Please give them a chance.
