ANOTHER HAPPY TAIL: JILL

Remember sweet little Jill- well here she is now lounging in her chair! What a tough life she has! Thanks again Carrie for making the rescue possible!

LOOK AT BART NOW!

WOW- Look at Bart! This is what Janet (the Rescue angel) had to say: "Here is Bart now Harry hiking in Vermont mountains wearing a gentle leader and with his sister a rescue dobbie! He is well and has already learned his new name sit and sometimes come!" We just LOVE to hear Happy Tails!

MEET BRIE: DO YOU KNOW ME???

This is the sweetest dog- she has to belong to someone! She is a bit shy, but I'm sure she is very confused right now! We are calling her Brie for now. She appears to be a Golden mix (perhaps some Chow???). Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 if you know who her owners are. If you are interested in Brie, please check back in about a week (if she is not reclaimed, she will be available for adoption). Isn't she gorgeous?!

UPDATED PICS: SHY JILLIAN

Here are some new pictures of Jillian! She really needs to get out of the shelter. Poor baby is so sad...and scared. She is shy at first and needs a special person to take her in and go slowly with her. However, Jillian does warm up with a little TLC. She has grown up with older children according to her owner. You can imagine how lonely she must be. Please consider fostering her as soon as possible.

MEET SKIP: DO YOU KNOW ME???

Surely someone can help this adorable young boy find his owner! Skip came to the shelter as a stray within the last week and we are looking for his owner. He is such a love! If you know who he belongs to please call Joan at 870-739-1145. If he is not reclaimed in another week, this sweetie will be available for adoption!

MEET ANGEL: SHE NEEDS A DOGGY ANGEL

This is Angel (some type of Terrier mix). She has survived being hit by a car and now we have a pretty good idea why- she is deaf. Angel is not very big at all (maybe 20-25 pounds)? Just look at her scared face...she needs help. Please consider fostering her until we can find her a permanent home.

ABANDONED PUPS NEED FOSTER HOME ASAP

These puppies desperately need a foster home before they run out of time. These 5 cuties already have had a rough start. They have been to the vet and seem to have skin issues likely related to poor nutrition and poor environment. They do not have anything contagious according to the vet (but that is why their coats look as they do). They are about 6 weeks old. It is crucial that they get out of the shelter ASAP. The pups were born under a house in a rural area. Sadly, from what we hear, their mother was actually shot because "she barked at people who came to the house". Well she was just doing what any good mother would do...protecting her babies. They were actually moments away from being dumped in the woods to fend for themselves when they were rescued. We need to find foster homes for them as soon as possible (will consider splitting them up if absolutely necessary). Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 if you can help us.

FANTASTIC NEWS FOR LENNY, LAURIE, AND LISA

Lenny, Laurie, and Lisa are on their way to their forever homes! All 3 of these adorable puppies have found terrific homes (Laurie and Lisa are actually being adopted together!). Thanks Carrie for making this dream come true for all of them! We'll keep you posted on their progress!

SHORT-TERM FOSTERS WANTED

Here we are begging again.... We are so backed up right now with dogs that HAVE HOMES WAITING FOR THEM up North, but need some doggy angels to get them there. We don't mean transportation either. What they need is a safe, indoor home TEMPORARILY (anywhere from 2-4 weeks generally). Once they are out of the shelter environment for a few weeks, they can travel up North. Many of the dogs waiting have tested positive for heartworms and need to be treated. This is OUR GREATEST NEED. They need to remain quiet for typically 4 weeks following treatment (that means potty breaks on a leash and then right back in to a crate or other confined area). Some of the dogs waiting because they tested positive for heartworms are shown below (Ronnie, Halo, and Molly). Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848 if you can help ASAP.

HAPPY TAIL: ANNA (AKA OLIVE)

Remember Anna ? (the first picture shows what she looked like upon arrival to the shelter). She came in with Buster back in November. She is now living the luxurious life with one of her new fur siblings (she has a fur brother too, but he's not pictured). Anna has been renamed Olive and is unbelievably happy up North! Thanks Janet for making this happy ending possible!

UPDATED PICS: LANDRY, THE FAMILY DOG!

You can tell from the pictures that Landry is turning out to be a wonderful family pet. He is very gentle natured and great with kids as well the other dogs in his foster home. Landry is just a large lap dog who adores affection! He deserves a forever home! Don't forget to click on each picture for an enlarged view!
